News reaching our desk indicates that the Ugandan singer Shivan Pavin who declared herself a lesbian has participated in the recently concluded Rainbow Riots Awards in Sweden where won the accolade of best Female Dancer 2016.
The lesbian singer posted on her social media;
“OMG,,,, am totally speechless, I mean who a my to be recognized by RAINBOW RIOTS as the best female dancer of 2016,,,jeez for a moment it felt lk a dream, while my frds were busy jumping up n down celebrating their awards I was silent thanking God in my heart for the gift he gave me, I felt tears fighting with my eyes to roll down yet at the same time I wanted to shout out loud n say a very big thanks to Jean, Fassie, Petter Wallenberg, Tania n the whole of Rainbow riots. I will forever be greatful to you n please don't give up on the work ur doing for LGBTI Persons in Uganda. Hope to meet you all of you again in Sweden (Stockholm) soon”
Shivan is known for her popular songs Glass and Towanika and many other songs that are doing well on the Ugandan market. She identifies herself more as Makombo, a proud lesbian who has joined activism towards the LGBT rights in Uganda.
