ONLY David Lutalo has pulled a crowd so big at Hotel Africana ... yet it wasn't even close to what sheebah did on her very first career concert.
Honestly, there has been little to argue about on whether Sheebah's concert was going to be a huge success, but, she literally exceeded every expectation anyone ever had.
She's had a largely successful year with some of the biggest hits in Ugandan music. She's won all the big Awards and broken records including being the all time winner of the Female Artist of The Year award. Again, there was little to argue about.
We've seen a number of BIG artists fail to pull even half the capacity of Hotel Africana, but as lucid as it was that Sheebah was not going to fail, we all thought she would only get so many for a triumph that would take her to within the few that have made it there ... but didn't count on the possibility that she could actually pull off a bigger crowd than that from which David Lutalo held the record for the biggest crowd ever.
The venue was filled to capacity. We're told some fans were denied entry and advised to hold on to their tickets for her Satellite Beach Mukono and Freedom City concerts.
Her biggest career challenge, by far, became her biggest career moment that everyone will live to talk about.
Sheebah said she did it for everyone, but especially for the girls that want to make it in life.
She called out all mothers to encourage their daughters to work hard and look up to her as an example, not from her dress code, not her conventional morality [She's no saint] BUT from how hard she's worked to achieve the kind of success she's acquired.
Sheebah performed all the songs off her debut album 'Nkwatako'.
She did not perform her latest hit single "Akkuse" -- which we now believe will be the genesis of her second album -- and that means she most probably will hold another concert in 2017, fingers crossed!
