Quiin Abenakyo became Miss Uganda in mid-2018 and Miss World Africa in December of the same year.
She was the first in Uganda to achieve the milestone in Uganda.
In July 2019, Quiin Abenakyo handed over the crown to Oliver Nakakande in Kampala before flying to London to handover Miss World Africa to Douglas Nyekachi from Nigerian.
During a recent interview, Quiin Abenakyo said she doesn’t miss being the reigning queen simply because her time expired.
“No, I don’t miss them because my time expired. I am only happy that I served to my best,” she said.
Abenakyo is currently running her Quiin Abenakyo Foundation that takes care of the less privileged girl child.
