Record TV closed shop in Uganda and it was reported that they had filed for bankruptcy.
The TV station that originates from Brazil had been in Uganda for close to two decades before its closure.
Sources have revealed that the station was sold to tycoon Sudhir Ruparelia who is rebranding it to cope with the competition.
It will not keep the name Record TV because it’s a multinational brand.
Sudhir already runs a media company. He is the proprietor of Sanyu FM that has been in existence for close to 30 years.
