Musician Zex Bilangi Langi has diverged from President Bobi Wine on the issue of musicians receiving money from the government.
Bilangi Langi explained that he has no problem with musicians receiving money from the government and supports the idea.
"I have no problem with them receiving that money if it was given. It's even a blessing for them to be given. Many have tried to request that money, but they failed," he partly said.
Bilangi Langi, however, insists that he is not interested in the 18 billion Ugandan shillings because he is a hard-working person and believes you are paid after work.
"I believe money is more delicious after working to earn it. For me, I am a hard worker, and everyone is aware of that. I didn't do anything to be paid," he said in an interview with Spark TV.
Bilangi Langi believes the 18 billion Ugandan shillings allocated to the UNMF is welcome and blessed the financial support from the government.
Bobi Wine has always criticized musicians for receiving financial support from the government and has long branded them as beggars.
However, Kenzo has consistently denied receiving money from the government on behalf of musicians.
