Legendary singer Jackie Chandiru of the defunct Blu*3 has criticized Ugandan singers again.
Chandiru, known for her vocal prowess, says today's music is boring and lacks substance. She can't even listen to it for more than a week.
"Not that the current music is entirely bad, but personally, I cannot listen to a lot of it for more than a week. So, truth is, some of these musicians need to do a little bit of polishing to better their craft," she said while appearing in an interview with the media.
Chandiru believes today's musicians need to do better and give songs time before they are released.
In April this year, Chandiru branded musicians as jokers for releasing vague music.
"I personally think right now it's about getting a hit in the bar. It's not about taking time to release serious music. Our songs still sound fresh because we were creating the best. Everything was perfect, and the competition was about good music, unlike today," she said in an interview with a local television station.
Chandiru was speaking ahead of the Blu*3 reunion concert which will take place on the 22nd of this month.
