Producer, songwriter, and sound engineer Skills On The Beat, real name Erisa Mukisa, was announced dead on Wednesday morning after a prolonged battle with drug addiction, compounded by issues involving women.

It is alleged that the producer breathed his last in the morning hours of Wednesday at Kirudu Hospice in Kampala.

In February of last year, Skills On The Beat opened up about his struggle with drug abuse, revealing that he began using drugs during the COVID-19 lockdown.

“I started smoking marijuana to hype up my vibe. I began losing focus on my dreams in the industry and could barely make it to the studio to work," he noted.

However, it has also been widely alleged that the producer had a weakness for women, and his illness was related to HIV/AIDS.

Skills On Da Beat is known for producing songs for Voltage Music, including Love Doctor, Cheza Mama, and Pull Up, as well as Byafaayo, Muzannyo, Squeeze, and Fille Mutoni’s Kataijo, among others.
