Gospel musician Judith Babirye was one of the most beloved Ugandans before she entered politics.

Her music was a unifying force, celebrated across the country for its ability to touch different souls.

However, her life took a turn after she joined politics and fell in love with a married man who was also a Member of Parliament in Buikwe District, which she represented in the last parliament.

Babirye has since revealed that she regrets entering politics and vows never to engage in it again.

She explained that politics divides people and breeds enmity within communities.

"I regret joining politics because my music didn’t segregate people. I had friends in all the different political parties, but when I entered politics, many felt left out. I will never engage in politics again because it’s not who I am," she said in part during an interview with YouTuber Kaye Wisdom.

Judith Babirye currently lives in Canada and has revealed plans to start a church.
