Band singer Ronald Mayinja dined with Uganda's opposition for a long time before joining the ruling government.
He even produced songs criticizing President Museveni and his government, some of which remain relevant to this day.
However, Mayinja now claims that opposition politicians lack value and cannot unseat the government anytime soon.
"The opposition claims they want to be in power, but they criticize leaders, demonstrating a lack of values. This, I think, is one of the reasons they are still not ready to take power," he explained in an interview with a local television station.
Ronald Mayinja believes a valuable opposition should refrain from using abusive language against those in government and instead engage in dialogue for a peaceful transfer of power.
