Yesterday, the country woke up to the sad news of the passing of Kawempe North MP Ssegirinya Muhammad.
The humorous legislator, commonly known as Mr. Update, breathed his last at Lubaga Hospital, where he had been receiving treatment.
Ssegirinya succumbed to a cancer-related illness after battling the disease for nearly two years. He spent most of the past two years in and out of hospitals in Kampala and abroad.
According to the President of the National Unity Platform, Bobi Wine, Ssegirinya will be laid to rest this Sunday at his ancestral home in Kadugala, Masaka City.
The popular legislator passed away at the age of 37.
