The mother of the late Muhammad Ssegirinya, along with his family, has appealed to the Parliament of Uganda for assistance.

She revealed that she has not received tangible support from Bobi Wine or the National Unity Platform (NUP) to cater to her grandchildren.

Speaking during an interview with a local television station, she expressed her concern about the lack of financial help for Ssegirinya’s children, particularly as the school term is set to begin soon.

"We didn’t receive any help from Bobi Wine and NUP regarding the children of Muhammad Ssegirinya. Even now, I don’t have money, yet the children are here, and the school term is starting very soon. I am now requesting Parliament to step in and provide assistance," she said.

However, during Muhammad Ssegirinya’s burial over the weekend, NUP President Bobi Wine pledged to collaborate with the family to ensure that Ssegirinya’s children receive an education and other necessary support.

Muhammad Ssegirinya is reportedly survived by seventeen children.
