Musician Fik Gaza has recently faced criticism from NUP supporters and fans following his meeting with Minister Balaam Barugahare.

Many have accused Fik Gaza of betraying Bobi Wine and the struggle for freedom by meeting Balaam and allegedly receiving money from the government.

However, Fik Gaza has clarified that he has not betrayed the cause. He explained that he personally approached Balaam to seek support for purchasing books and other scholastic materials for children in the ghetto areas of Kampala.

"As you all know, we have ghetto youths who need books with the school term approaching. The books are strictly for school-going children. This is not about politics because, as you know, I can't betray the struggle. I reached out to him solely to help these ghetto kids, nothing more," he stated during an interview on a local television station.

Fik Gaza emphasized that his intentions are for the public good, not personal gain.

"I am not looking for personal money or benefit; my focus is entirely on helping the ghetto youths," he added.
