As the country awaits the NUP flag bearer, artists affiliated with the party are already divided over different candidates.
King Saha is backing Counsel Elias Nalukoola, while Mudra and Dax Vibes support foot soldier Magala Umar.
However, reports indicate that the party has already favored Nalukoola after he performed well in the public debate last week.
He is also a popular figure in the opposition, having spent most of his adult life in the courts of law, fighting for the freedom of many politicians and supporters.
The by-election is scheduled to take place on March 13.
