Musician and turned-politician Mathias Walukaaga has expressed his intention to contest for the Busiro East constituency.
The current Mayor of Kyengera Town Council says he is ready for the position and has the required qualifications to contest in the coming general elections.
The Kadongokamu musician believes he will unseat Medard Segona if given the party ticket and says he has the support of the public.
"I am ready for the position, and I have already made this clear with the party and its structures in Wakiso. I will be contesting; however, I will seek advice from my party because I need their support in this," he explained.
Mathias Walukaaga, however, faces a hard task to unseat seasoned politician and Buganda Kingdom's favourite, Medard Segona.
Mathias Walukaaga joined active politics in 2021 and is the current Mayor of Kyengera Town Council. He was voted into leadership through the NUP ticket.
