High court sits today Tuesday to deliver its final judgment in a case where rally ace, Desh Kananura and 4 others, are accused of killing a one Badru Katerega.
Desh is accused along with his brother Raymond Kananura, Cyrus Maganda and Samuel Muzolewa
Court appointed two assessors, Robert Kabureta and Rehema Babirye who advised court to acquit Kananura on grounds that prosecution failed to adduce enough evidence proving his role in the murder of Kateregga.
This could lead to his exoneration, if court is to go by this advice.
The assessors equally called for the acquittal of Kananura’s brother and their co-accused, in a session presided over by Justice Joseph Murangira.
Prosecution argues that the accused, on September 31, 2012, while at Panamera Bar at Naguru, a Kampala surbub, beat Badru Kateregga, a bar attendant to death, over 30,000 shs the deceased had received as a tip from a customer.
The accused persons however, have denied the allegations, blaming the police for not acting in time to save Kateregga life, his former worker.
