Faded artist Butchaman was last week recorded smoking week during a performance at one of the hangout spots around town.
His actions didn't go well with the leadership of the Uganda Musicians Association (UMA) and the association is demanding an apology from him.
The UMA President, Cindy Sanyu said weed has ruined the careers of different artists Butchaman inclusive.
"Weed is not good. It has ruined the careers of musicians and many believe it also affected Butchaman himself. I can't advise anyone to smoke it in public because it's a bad example to young children. He needs to apologize to the public," she said.
Butchaman on the other hand said he will not apologize to UMA for his actions.
