Comedian Maulana, one half of the popular duo Maulana and Reign, was released on Wednesday this week after paying ten million Ugandan shillings. It is reported that he paid seven million in cash and pleaded with the judge to pay the remaining balance in installments.

Allegations suggest that the money was given to the mother of his three children to cater to their well-being for the entire year, covering expenses such as rent, school fees, food, and healthcare. The judge of Mwanga 2 Court also ordered the comedian to provide ten million Ugandan shillings to the mother of his three children annually as child support.

Comedian Maulana was arrested earlier this week, on Monday.
