The nation is in mourning following the passing of Joseph Tamale Mirundi, the former presidential press secretary, who passed away on Tuesday night at Kisubi Hospital in Kampala.

Mirundi's death has sent shockwaves through the country, with tributes pouring in from all corners.

In honor of his memory, the State House has released the funeral program, which outlines a series of events leading up to his burial on Sunday, August 18th, in Kalisizo, Rakai District.

The funeral program begins with a vigil and mass at the Zana residence on Wednesday, August 14th, followed by a requiem mass at St. Gyaviira Catholic Church in Bunamwaya on Thursday, August 15th. The body will then be taken to various residences for overnight vigils, allowing friends, family, and colleagues to pay their respects.

On Saturday, August 17th, the body will be transported to Kalagala Village in Kalisizo, Rakai District, for a final vigil before the burial ceremony on Sunday, August 18th, starting at 10:00 am.

The body will be taken to Kyengera Residence for a Mass at 10:00 am and an overnight vigil.

Saturday, 17th August
The body leaves for Kalagala Village in Kalisizo, Rakai District, for a vigil.

Sunday, 18th August
The burial ceremony will start at 10:00 am at Kalagala Village, Kalisizo, in Rakai District.
