Musician Edirisa Musuuza, also known as Eddy Kenzo, was appointed as a presidential advisor on creatives by President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni on Wednesday this week.

The singer thanked the President for trusting him with the position and for recognizing his wisdom as a person.

"I thank the President for using wisdom to govern this country. When you look at how people perceive us, the people from the ghetto, they don't see much value in us," he said in part during an interview with the press.

The singer also revealed that artists now have a way to reach the President and urged them to support him and bring ideas to the table for the betterment of the industry.

"Finally, the creatives have a window where we can channel our grievances because we have been neglected for a long time. I call upon my fellow artists to support me, bring ideas, and advise me so that the ideas I present benefit the industry," he said.

Kenzo believes that the appointment is a vote of confidence in him by the President.
