Musician Edirisa Musuuza, known as Eddy Kenzo, has called on musicians to step up their game and be prepared for competition because music is a business.
The singer explained that artists should engage in healthy competition because it promotes development.
He noted that shows will continue to take place on the same days because new musicians are constantly emerging, and the industry is still growing. Therefore, everyone should work harder to attract more fans.
"Music, like any other business, is competitive. I think we need to work harder, get out of our comfort zones, and understand that we all work for the same audience. There is no time like before when we were few. Competition is high, and everyone should work tirelessly because that's the trend now," he said in an interview with a local television station.
The singer acknowledged that it's not ideal to stage concerts on the same day, but with the increasing number of musicians serving the same fan base, it’s inevitable.
