In 2021, Mr. Mosh left his career in media to join active politics, and in May of that year, he was elected as the lord councilor for Makindye East 3 under the National Unity Platform (NUP) ticket.

Mosh has maintained that he did not join NUP because of Bobi Wine, despite their friendship before politics, explaining that he believed NUP would best represent his ideas.

"I didn’t join NUP because of Bobi Wine. We were friends even before politics, and that trust remains. But I saw NUP as the best platform for my ideas," he said during a television interview.

Mr. Mosh also emphasizes that he does not regret his decision to join NUP, calling it the best choice he ever made. He attributes his success to his personal efforts, not his friendship with Bobi Wine.

"I don’t succeed because of the establishment; I succeed because of my hustle. Kyagulanyi is like a brother to me. We used to meet when we were young, and joining NUP felt natural," he added.
