Musician Eddy Yawe and Carol Nantongo once collaborated on a song titled "Tukigale."
The song became a hit on the airwaves and significantly boosted Carol Nantongo’s career, which was still in its early stages at the time.
However, the two later had a dispute over copyright. Yaawe refused to share ownership rights with Nantongo and, on several occasions, declined to perform with her on different stages.
Yaawe, who endorsed Carol Nantongo’s concert scheduled for December 6th, revealed that they have reconciled and are now on good terms.
"It was never a war. It was just a misunderstanding that arose when I took up the copyright of the song. But that’s all behind us now. I personally wish her success and hope she will make her concert a success," Yaawe explained in an interview with a local television station.
Eddy Yawe believes Nantongo is one of the most gifted vocalists and, with support, she will make significant contributions to the growth of the music industry.
