Last week, General Salim Saleh directed musicians to stop traveling to his offices in Gulu District for support and handouts.
General Saleh explained that the constant visits by artists were distracting his offices from focusing on other sectors beyond music. He advised them to work with Eddy Kenzo's office at the UNMF and other music industry leaders.
Musician and staunch government supporter Bebe Cool has backed General Saleh's directive, stating his full support.
"Personally, I have always been against musicians constantly traveling to Gulu to ask for help from General Saleh. I agree with him 100 percent—they should stop going there and focus on the programs already running under the federation," Bebe Cool explained.
He emphasized that the government has streamlined and empowered offices like the UNMF to address the needs of the arts sector effectively.
