The Uganda Communications Commission (UCC), a government body responsible for regulating the dissemination of information in the media, has announced new measures for artists to follow when organizing concerts.

The decision was revealed by UCC Executive Director, George William Nyombi Thembo, during a press conference addressing concerns about vulgar music and public entertainment.

"The UCC ED also reminded stakeholders that, in accordance with the Stage Plays and Public Entertainment Act and its regulations, concert organizers are required to obtain permits from UCC," he explained in an interview with a local television station.

The Uganda Communications Commission also announced the suspension of controversial songs by Lil Pazo and Gravity Omutujju.
