Musician Ibrahim Mayanja, also known as Big Eye, has announced his intention to run for Member of Parliament of Nansana Municipality in the upcoming elections.
The singer revealed he will be contesting on the National Unity Platform ticket and believes he will win.
"The voice of the people is the voice of God. When my president Robert Kyagulanyi @HEBobiwine speaks, it is a command. Nansana Municipality, your dedicated servant for the 2026-2031 term is here. Together, we will build a stronger future," he wrote on social media.
His rival, Eddy Kenzo, has commented on Big Eye's political ambitions, saying he wishes him well.
"I haven't seen the poster, but if he chooses to go, then no problem, and I wish him well in his endeavors," he explained in an interview with a local YouTuber.
