Musician Kalifah Aganaga was nominated this Wednesday for the position of Kawempe North MP.
He will be contesting on the FDC ticket in the upcoming by-elections to replace the late MP Muhammad Ssegirinya.
Speaking about Aganaga's political bid, the President of the Uganda National Musicians Federation, Kenzo, revealed that he can only offer prayers and blessings to him.
"I can only offer him blessings and prayers in this bid. He is a man who loves politics and has tried numerous times, so I wish him well," he explained in part during an interview with a local television station.
Kalifah Aganaga will be contesting against Elias Nalukoola of NUP, Farida Nambi of NRM, and other independent candidates.
