Musician Edirisa Musuza, also known as Eddy Kenzo, has been at the forefront demanding the amendment of the copyright law.
He and the UNMF members have spent two years working with the government to find ways of amending the law.
However, in a polite discussion with the Speaker of Parliament on Sunday evening, Anita Among promised to ensure that the copyright law is amended very soon.
"I am going to do it very soon, as long as you sing 'Sitya Loss' for me," Anita Among jokingly stated.
Eddy Kenzo believes copyright is the biggest problem in the Ugandan music industry, and if addressed, prosperity will follow.
