Bebe Cool and Eddy Kenzo continue to beef as the "Byafayo" singer continues to refer to Kenzo "BET Award winner" as an upcoming artiste, something people find nonsensical.
During a press conference he held at Hotel Africana’s Makuti bar on Wednesday afternoon ... in preparation for his forthcoming Mbilo-Mbiro concert, a rather calm and humbled Kenzo reiterated; making his message to Bebe Cool clearer than it could ever be when he stressed that the music scenery in Uganda and the world over has since changed and so have the tastes of of this generation.
“Bebe Cool has constantly attacked me and many other new artistes but I honestly would like to let him know that times have changed and this new generation’s tastes have changed too. I will admit that I grew up admiring him and the likes of Jose Chameleone and for that matter I have respect for them as legends,” -- he stated.
“However, he should wake up to the fact that the world has long moved on and youthful artistes like me and Wizkid, Davido, among quite a number more are the ones that appeal to the current generation. To be honest, people would consider him to be out of his mind if he sang the songs I sing because he is too out-fashioned for this generation and should be humble enough to accept that new and younger artistes are shining,” -- he said.
As he said this, almost every person present at the press conference applauded him in agreement.
He added that if Bebe Cool was reasonable enough, he would acknowledge that he has earned the country and region some pride by winning an award that many only can dream about.
He concluded by advising the ‘legendary artistes’ to instead help and motivate young and new artistes to work harder and be original enough to shine on the world music scene rather than keep demoralizing them through spread of negative energy.
