Last year, Puff Daddy and Drake reportedly got into a physical altercation at a Miami night club. The dustup was allegedly over the beat to Drake's "0 to 100/The Catch Up", which Puff Daddy had originally wanted to record. Today, Puff Daddy did an interview with Power 105's "The Breakfast Club", where he explicitly denied fighting with Drake. You can watch the interview below, via Complex; the relevant comments begin around the 13:15 mark.
"I did not put hands on Drake," he said. "I do not want any problems with Drake. Drake is, right now... that's all I got. He’s putting in his work. Drake is my friend."
He continued by explaining the debate over "0 to 100". "'0 to 100' was a record that initially that was my record, and then somehow because of a misunderstanding, because we were working with the same producer... honestly, it was a misunderstanding," he said. "Drake is actually my favorite rapper.... It's been like that for a couple of years. At the end of the day, when it comes to the situation, it's all about the lyrics, but it wasn't anything that was really that big of a deal."
