When Bebe Cool calls himself BigSize, people should actually not argue, this guy is connected. First he was at Mandela’s birthday, then he is a Minister’s son and before we know it all, President Museveni is one of his great friends.
And just as we were thinking of closing up his connections, out comes another chapter, this time round with Oscar Award winner, Kenya’s Lupita Nyong’o. Actually, because of Bebe Cool, Lupita became successful. Even though he’s yet to take credit, perhaps he’s waiting for the stop to end and then steal the show.
Here’s one of those photos where Bebe Cool and Chameleone featured with Lupita. George Wabweyo captions it best;
“Can you see Bebe Cool’s poster in the background? Like just above the guy’s head? This was when Lupita Nyongo starred in a 16 minute short film set in Uganda.
Now, why hasn’t Bebe Cool come out to take his due credit? I remember when he sang that “I was in Prison, just like Mandela”…pssss(he was in jail actually, just for a few hours too because he assaulted a policewoman). I expected him to be like
“I am very proud to have associated with my sister Lupita Nyong’o way back before she hit the big time. As Bebe Cool, I feel proud and glad to associate with people who break boundaries. As you can see in this picture, a poster of me inspired the setting which cultivated Lupita Nyongo’s talent. Big Size fi life…Gagamel creeeeeeeeew! Zuena baby!”
So whether you people agree or not, Bebe Cool is responsible for Lupita’s success. At least his poster was the one used in the movie background. What do you people even know about success?
