They say behind every successful man is a woman. For comedian Prince Emah (who now calls himself Napoleon), behind his success is a wonderful old woman who is so dear to him.
Yesterday, Dec. 23, the stand-up comedian shared a very emotional post with his fans on social media highlighting his journey in 20 years ... and how his grandmother — who's currently fighting sickness in hospital — changed his life.
In the emotional post, the Laftaz comedy lounge Director better known for his rib cracking jokes shared the full story;
Prince Emah's Emotional Post
On this day in 1995 I started my journey out of street life, courtesy of this old woman.
When she heard that her grandson (whom she didn't know about) was wondering up and down the streets of Kampala at a tender age (below 10), she vowed to use every drop of blood in her veins to find "that boy" and reshape his future...and so on 23rd-Dec-1995 I was on a bus to Soroti to meet my father's family for the first time as well as know anything about him.
From this woman's commitment a future was redefined as I waved goodbye to my comrades I left in the isolated ghettos of this country.
20 years exactly today, she is lying in hospital and I couldn't help but shed a tear as I look at this brave woman and remember some of her sacrifices and great dreams she had for me.
Today she reminded me that she always dreamed that I would drive the most powerful cars, build good houses and wave to her from up in a plane.
Friends...join me and say a simple prayer for this great lady, my late father's mother, my grandmother. Quick Recovery Tata.
