Band artiste, Stabua Natoro has, like many other musicians not been performing on stage since the government imposed restrictions on gatherings.
Whereas many musicians have now given up on demanding the relaxation of those regulations and resorted to begging for handouts, Stabua is stuck to her guns.
The singer says it’s not proper for musicians to turn into beggars.
“Why should we now go to Gen Saleh to beg for food. They should relax the restrictions and we make our own money. I don’t want that money being dished to musicians through Associations. I want to work for myself,” she wonders.
A group of musicians recently met Gen. Salim Saleh in Gulu and they were given cash.
