Two months ago, rapper Fik Fameica asked Ugandan musicians to learn from their Nigerian counterparts instead of beefing them.
But with the dominance of Nigerian music in the country, artists like Fik Fameica suffocate, they receive minimal airplay and their music dies without receiving support.

But he believes local musicians are more talented and have the power to become better than Nigerians.
"We are talented, we can be better than them. We just need to organize ourselves,” Fik Fameica said.
Fik Fameica is currently signed to a Nigerian label, EmPawa Africa owned by Mr. Eazi.
