Musician Mesach Semakula has seen it all in the Ugandan music industry and is one of the most respected artists in the country.
Speaking about gangs in the industry, Mesach explained that the music industry should be freed from such people.
"They are a danger to their own lives and to other people mostly because they are intolerant and act in a notorious way," he said.
He warned that if gangs are not stopped early enough, deaths and other dangers will continue to happen in the industry.
"Gangs are harmful, and we have witnessed a series of tragic deaths because of them. They should be stopped as soon as possible because they are a danger to us all," he said in an interview with a local television station.
Musicians who are publicly known for being involved in dangerous gangs at the moment include Alien Skin, Fik Gaza, and dancehall singer Mudra.
