Singer and songwriter Brian Avie opened up about his professional relationship with Bebe Cool, revealing that he declined an offer to collaborate with the Gagamel boss.
In an interview with a local YouTuber, Avie explained that when he first met Bebe Cool during the COVID-19 lockdown, Bebe recognized his talent and offered him two options: collaborate on a song or sell his songs to him.
"I chose to sell my songs to Bebe Cool instead of collaborating. I’m grateful for the money he paid, and I continue to earn from the songs I wrote for him. Working with him on a song would have been a one-time opportunity, but selling my music has provided ongoing support," he explained.
Avie also shared that he avoided collaborating to stay clear of the political controversies at the time, as Bebe Cool was supporting President Museveni while many in the industry supported Bobi Wine.
