President Yoweri Museveni has vowed to pressure from the Busoga Kingdom to drop their Kyabazinga William Wilberforce Gabula from his list of Ambassadorial nominees.
The president Yoweri Museveni appointed the Busoga King an Ambassador on special duties in the office of the president, drawing criticism from the public, mainly the Busoga Lukiiko.
Members of the Lukiiko argued that their Kyabazinga as a cultural leader is not meant to work for, or serve anybody, and working under the President’s office would mean otherwise.
Others had started wondering how the Kyabazinga would act around the Speaker of Parliament, who is also his subject, but his boss in the new office.
However, Chris Obore the Parliament’s spokesperson confirmed that Nadiope’s name was missing on the list of nominees forwarded to the house for the vetting process taking place today.
It is however still not clear, why the president decided to drop the king, even after defending his decision of appointing him.
