Police traffic police department has announced that it will close roads down town Kampala early Wednesday morning when President Yoweri Museveni is expected to launch the Kampala Fly over project.

The project will officially commence in January 2019. Tomorrow’s launch will take place along Kafumbe Mukasa Road. This according to SSP Musinga Norman, the kampala metropolitan traffic commander, will lead to closure of roads from the public starting at 6:00am.

The traffic guidelines indicate that there will be normal traffic flow along Queen’s way from the city centre, motorists from Entebbe heading to city centre will be diverted at Zana Round about, Stella-Namasuba Junction and Kibuye Round about.

Mengo hill road will be closed to the general public and traffic will be diverted to kisenyi and kibuye round about. Traffic will also be diverted from Kafumbe Mukasa road (owino market) to kisenyi road, while traffic from the city centre will not be allowed to access Katwe Wansi and Kafumbe Mukasa Road.

Police has now encouraged the public to adhere with the traffic guidelines to avoid inconveniences.
