Police in Hoima are investigating a burglary at Hoima municipal offices where thugs broke in during the lunch break on Wednesday afternoon and made off with four computers.
Municipal offices are next to the office of the Resident district commissioner-RDC and District Internal Security Officer-DISO.
But, Daniel Kaseregenye, the deputy town clerk Hoima Municipality, says the municipal workers were away for lunch when the robbery took place.
According to Kaseregenye, the workers realized that four computers were missing upon their return from the lunch break and immediately reported a case of theft at Hoima Central Police Station.
Computers belong to the Production, Human Resource and Health departments and contained vital information.
Police have since arrested one suspect to help with their investigations.
According to the Hoima District Police Commander Christopher Katumba, investigations into the theft of computers from the municipal offices are ongoing.
