President Yoweri Museveni will this evening retire Generals from the Uganda Peoples Defense forces at an event that will be held at State House Entebbe this evening.
Those retiring include; Gen Ivan Koreta, Gen Joram Mugume, Maj Gen Nathan Mugisha, Maj Gen Sam Turyagyenda, Brig Gen Ramadan Kyamulesire and Maj Gen Timothy Sabiiti Mutebile.
Others are; Brig Gen Charles Angulo Wacha, Brig Gen Sam Kakuru, Brig Gen Mathew Ssewankambo; Maj Gen. Jimmy Wills Byarugaba; Maj Gen Sam Wasswa Mutesasira; Brig Gen Gyagenda Kibirango; Brig Gen Tom Tumuhairwe; Maj Gen Ambrose Musinguzi; Brig Gen Mulondo and Brig Gen John Mulindwa among others.
The generals will be handed certificates at the dinner organized by the Commander in Chief, Gen Yoweri Kaguta Museveni at State house Entebbe this evening.
Also the commander in chief will march them out of state house after dinner, as a way of showing the beginning their retirement.
It however remains a mystery why Gen David Sejusa, who has over the years sought retirement is still not on the list. Earlier, when asked why Sejusa was not on this list, the UPDF Spokesperson said the army reserves the right of choosing who retires or not.
