The police in Kampala are searching for an assailant/assailants who shot and killed a Rwandan woman and her bodyguard at about 1am this morning.
The gruesome shooting happened at Nambigirwa Bridge, towards Mpala, Katabi Town Council. Patrick Onyango the Kampala Metropolitan police spokesperson identifies the deceased as Princess Kamikazi, a Rwandan National and her bodyguard Joshua Ruhegyera Ntereho.
Preliminary reports indicate the shooter was most likely traveling with the duo in the same vehicle. However, eyewitnesses say the duo was waylaid by two gunmen and when the driver stopped, they were showered with bullets.
They were travelling in a black Prado registration number UAW 534B heading to Entebbe.
According to Onyango, investigations into the crime have commenced and detectives together with scene of crime officers from Katwe, Kajjansi, Bwebajja, Entebbe and their overt, covert officers are all combing surrounding areas with hope of picking Kimikazi killers.
Police has also recovered an AK 47 riffle believed to have been used to kill the duo.
