The police spokesperson, Fred Enanga has revealed that the force has received intelligence that Rwenzururu youth who recently formed a militia group plan on causing trouble in any case, the ongoing election petition does not end in their favor.

In an interview with Galaxy fm, during the morning show today, the police mouth piece said; “from our intelligence we have learnt that it has a political connection, after the petition that is in court, we understand they are prepared if the petition does not go the way they want.”

Enanga was reacting to the news of the stabbing of the Kasese, Buhuhira sub-county Gombolola Intelligence Security Officer James Mulhumbira was attacked last night.

James was critically injured together with his brother Johnson Mulhumbira at a malwa bar in Kisanga Market.

According to Enanga, the Giso was stubbed in the neck and arm by the militia members, and the police are following up on a lead of who could have carried out the attack.

His brother Johnson was deeply stubbed in the back. They were both rushed to Kilembe hospital where they were operated on, but are still in a critical condition.
