The former Forum for Democratic Change-FDC presidential candidate Dr. Kizza Besigye, has this morning been arrested moments after being released for month long incarceration.
Besigye was this morning heading to Najjanankumbi for the Tuesday prayers, when crowds formed around his car right from Kasangati, to Mulago, where he would later be arrested, and towed away in his car to Kira police station.
Inside the van, Besigye tweeted that I quote, scared regime!! We couldn't be allowed to get to FDC Hqs for prayers. Now being towed to... I don't know where!
Besigye stepped out of his gate this morning a few minutes after 9am and set out for Kampala capital city, only for him to meet the usual obstacle.
Before boarding his vehicle, Besigye told journalists that he hopes police will not interfere with his movements since he has lost a lot for the last forty days he has been under siege.
He told journalists he would first go to Kampala to check on his businesses before heading to the FDC offices in Najjanankumbi for the weekly prayers.
