NRM central executive CEC, ministers and permanent secretaries will head to the National leadership institute for a retreat slated to begin on Monday July 25th until 1st August 2016.
According to a communication by the NRM secretary general, Justine Kasule Lumumba, the retreat will run under the theme; “sustaining steady progress; cabinet cohesion, efficiency and effectiveness for enhanced service delivery and job creation.”
“I write as agreed in the retreat preparatory meeting held on Thursday 14th July 2016 under the chairmanship of the Rt. Hon. Prime Minister Ruhakana Rugunda to request that you invite all the permanent secretaries to attend this important retreat in which H.E the president will the key Note Address on Tuesday 26th July 2016 at 8:30am prompt” part of the communication reads.
The 12th July 2016 letter addressed to Mr. John Mitala, the head of public service/secretary to cabinet, cabinet secretariat indicates that all participants are expected to report on 25th July 2016 by 6:00pm.
“The retreat organizing committee will provide transport to and from Kyankwanzi and provide a reasonable accommodation, meals and sundry” Lumumba added.
Meanwhile, in his letter dated 20th July 2016 to all permanent secretaries and parliament, Mr. John Mitala, the head of public service/secretary to cabinet, cabinet secretariat confirmed receipt of the secretary General’s letter and informs all to assemble behind the new tower, office of the president on Monday morning for set off, as they will use public means of transport.
He observes; “You will be provided with a Uniform once you get to Kyankwanzi but you are advised to carry other clothes in form of smart casual.”
