President Yoweri Museveni has today officially opened the Egypt-Uganda Food Security Company Limited, a private beef processing factory in Bombo, Luweero District.

The facility, which also serves as an abattoir and will soon open a tannery and employs 150 people.

In his remarks the President said that government has set the foundation for industrialization by building roads, availing electricity, educating the population and now working on the railway.

With this foundation, focus is shifting to building industries like this one. The local farmers will also benefit by supplying cattle to this facility.

The President thanked the investor for this facility because it is going to link Uganda's beef industry with the international market.
