The Uganda police force has warned the forum for democratic change party against their planned move to throw Dr. Kiiza Besigye a welcome home party.

Besigye has been abroad for a month and will return on Thursday September 29th. The party has this morning announced an intended ceremony to be held at Entebbe airport where FDC leaders and members will convene to welcome the opposition iron man back home.

While abroad, Besigye met Ugandans living in the United Kingdom and North America to rally them into supporting his move to unseat President Yoweri Museveni.

Former leader of opposition and senior FDC party leader Waffula Oguttu rallied the whole country to convene at the airport on Thursday morning to welcome Besigye who will land aboard a Kenya airlines flight at exactly 08:15am.

Oguttu also told the press that they had informed the police about their planned move. However, police spokesperson Andrew Felix Kaweesi says such an event will not be allowed as it is intended to paralyze business in the towns of Entebbe and Kampala.
