We have landed on exclusive information that Kampala top pastors, Prophet Aloysius Bugingo and Elvis Mboye previously worked as hides vendors both in Kisoro and Kampala. They were best friends who had chosen to venture in Hides and Skin business. It was a business they did for a living.

A source that knows the two revealed to us that Bugingo and Elvis would go all around Kabale and Kisoro villages collecting hides. They would dry them in the sun and transport them back to Kampala.

In Kampala, they would converge in Kitintale as they planned a way forward. That’s why Elvis Mboye has houses and plots of land in Kitintale.

 The U-turn

These two men of God realised that this kind of work wouldn’t take them anywhere far as their dreams were concerned. It is alleged that they sat and made a decision to venture into pastoral work. They both went back to Kisoro and started preaching the word of God. It took them years to get recognised. After Sunday services, they would travel back to Kampala as they laid strategies.

Elvis opted to be a prophet.  He started praying for people, prophesying a lot of things that turned out to be true. Life started changing for him. Bugingo relocated first to Kampala. He came with a number of followers who were both from Kisoro and Rwanda but stationed in Kampala. This made his work easy and he started up a church first around Kampala road and later Bat valley.

Elvis stayed in Kisoro but also relocated two years later. He started a church in Kitintale. He also has links in the government that helped him access some finances. It took Mboye a few years to get established.
