In January 2019, musician Eddy Kenzo celebrated his ten years in the music industry with a concert that brought together lovers of Ugandan music.
The singer has now revealed plans to quit music to concentrate on other personal businesses and projects.
The Big Talent boss explained he has done it all musically, and there is nothing more he can prove.
"I want to quit music and do other things. I have done it all, and I think it's high time I leave. I don't want to die doing this job," he said in a video circulating on social media.
Eddy Kenzo remains the most decorated Ugandan artist. He has won it all for Uganda, including a BET award, Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards, and is the only Ugandan musician to have received a nomination in the prestigious Grammy Awards.
The singer made his breakthrough in 2009 after he released the "Yaniba" song he worked on with Mike Wine. He gained international attention after the release of his single "Sitya Loss," which featured the Ghetto Kids in 2014.
