Recently, media personality and influencer Sheila Gashumba unveiled her latest purchase, a 2022 Range Rover model.
Many people questioned her source of income, with some alleging that men are behind her wealth, claiming it was a gift from her lover.
Her father, Frank Gashumba, came to her defense, explaining that Sheilah has earned her own money through influencer gigs.
He said that Sheilah has the biggest following on social media in Uganda, and various companies pay her between five and ten million shillings just to promote their brands.
"Sheilah is the most followed media personality in Uganda. She covered CHOGM while still a teenager and was the first African female personality to cover the BET Awards. She earns between five and ten million for every influencer gig you see. She promotes a lot of brands and has made significant money through the nights she hosts in different bars around the city," he explained in an interview with a local television station.
Frank Gashumba also urged Ugandans to adopt a positive mindset and stop focusing solely on the negatives.
