Top politician Mike Mukula is stepping in to help mend the rift between musicians Pallaso and Alien Skin.

Mukula, who serves as the National Resistance Movement's (NRM) vice chairperson for the eastern region and is also a patron of the Uganda Musicians Association, has been working behind the scenes to bring the two artists together.

He recently shared on social media that he'd held separate meetings with both Pallaso and Alien Skin at his home in Bugolobi. He sounded optimistic about the progress, saying they were "making great progress" towards reconciliation.

Pallaso also commented on the meeting, expressing gratitude to Mukula for his ongoing support of the music industry and his efforts to develop the arts. He emphasized his desire for peace with Alien Skin, stating his belief in reconciliation rather than revenge. "I believe in collaboration, not revenge," Pallaso wrote, also suggesting that Mukula's guidance earlier might have prevented the feud from escalating.

The conflict between Pallaso and Alien Skin initially flared up in 2023 and reignited earlier this year at Buloba Forest Park. A confrontation there saw Alien Skin and his associates chase Pallaso off stage and physically assault him.

In retaliation, Pallaso reportedly attacked Alien Skin's home, damaging property, including vehicles. Mukula's intervention offers a potential path to resolving this damaging conflict within the Ugandan music scene.
