Rapper Navio has revealed that he has never begged for money from General Salim Saleh and has no intention of doing so.
The rapper explained that he sees no value in begging for handouts. He expressed sympathy for those who frequently go to Gulu to beg.
Navio says artists who repeatedly go to Gulu are asking for the wrong things instead of demanding that the copyright law be amended.
"I have never begged for money in Gulu, and I don't intend to. I think the musicians who go there are asking for the wrong things. They should instead ask for copyright, which will help all of us," he explained.
He believes that by amending the copyright law, all creatives will benefit, and no one will have to beg for money to survive.
His comments come just a month after General Salim Saleh chased artists away from Gulu, stating that he was tired of them and asking Kenzo to take over his role.
